HIV/AIDS Deaths Over The Decades

Throughout the decades since the AIDS breakout, more and more lives have been claimed due to HIV/AIDS. This chart uses the CDC’s HIV surveillance reports to map out the number of deaths reported due to the disease since the onset of the pandemic. As is shown in the graph the amount of deaths decreases over the years. This is due to the developments made medically to extend the lifespans of people with HIV/AIDS as well as better preventative measures being made available.
